IP Network Expert

Your place in the team

2nd level operation and maintenance of Vodafone HU’s IP LAN network segment, keep contact with related Vodafone’s departments and suppliers. Provide on call service for the network segment.

Responsible for network implementation, optimization, testing and quality assurance activities in the IP LAN network segment. Responsible for IP connectivity design based on customer demand. Suggest solutions and practices make IP network better and better day by day.

You will be involved in the following tasks:

• operation and maintenance tasks of IP network devices, services:
  • Data Center switching infrastructure
  • Proxies, Firewalls,
  • AAA, VPN aggregation devices, security gateways
  • load balancers
  • DNS server management,
  • Office LAN
• continuous 7*24 hours support:
  • availability to work On Call shift during out of normal working hours
  • incident management and network failure resolution escalated by first line operation (Network Operation Centre.)
  • find root cause of faults and take corrective actions
  • work in a proactive way to prevent incidents
  • escalation to the vendor support (L3) and service providers if needed
  • implementation of the change requests in the network: Activate new network functionalities, new applications, and services. Execute configuration changes in strong cooperation with related teams and change requesters.
  • ensure documentation, inventory, monitoring and configuration backup of the network devices
  • continuously seek opportunities to develop operational efficiency through process improvement and automation.
• participate in planning and design of network segments in a way to meet the required state-of-the-art standard of resiliency, capacity and security
• ensures continuous capacity and lifecycle management of IP network elements
• assure business continuity and participate in Disaster Recovery planning and test exercises

We are looking for you, if you have…

• MSC or BSC degree in Telecommunication, Information Technology or Electrical engineering or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• minimum 3 years IP network’s development and/or operation experience in telecommunication or enterprise environment 
• minimum 3 years of IP network security’s (e.g. firewalls) operation experience
• deep knowledge and understanding of IP networks and protocols, network security
• good communication skills
• Intermediate spoken and written English
• excellent computer skills
• advantages:
• vendors’ technical Certifications (e.g. CCNP)
• significant experience of Linux operating system (server administration)
• programming experience in any of the following languages/systems: shell scripting, Python, Ansible
